  • Hi,

These new laptops are not designed for windows 7 and the OS is not supported by MS and ther won't be ant drivers support from Acer, if you want you can downgrade to Windows 7 but you have to forage for drivers.

Hi I know it has been a while since you posted this but if you happen to still need to know I can tell you, as for I have the exact laptop running Windows 7 right now.
    READ BEFORE DOING!!!!!
Step 1 get AOMEI Partition Assistant https://www.disk-partition.com/free-partition-manager.html
Step 2 Load up AOMEI Partition Assistant
Step 3 Find you C: drive (Should be only drive unless you mess with them like I do)
Step 4 Right click C: and resize partition
Step 5 Slide from right going left until Unallocated space free says around 20 GB
    Step 6 Press OK
Step 7 Click Apply (It will restart into a Win PE environment it created and resize you C: drive
Step 8 after it is done you should have a new partition created
Step 9 Install DriverPack Offline from here https://drp.su/en/info/driverpack-offline
Step 10 You need to get BitTorrent or UTorrent
    Link to BitTorrent https://www.bittorrent.com/downloads/win
    Link to UTorrent https://www.utorrent.com/downloads/win
Step 11 Load the .***** you downloaded in Step 9
Step 12 Tell it to save it in the new partition you created
    Step 13 Let it download
Step 14 At this point you have a little of options but the easy way is to not wipe your Windows 10 but dual boot it with Windows 7
Step 14a Load AOMEI Partition Manager
Step 14a Do the same as above but make it around 50-100 GB
    Step 14a Click apply
Step 14a Wait for it to finish
    Step 15 Get WinCDEmu http://wincdemu.sysprogs.org/tutorials/mount/
Step 16 Mount your Windows 7 ISO
    Step 17 Run the Setup.exe
    Step 18 Click Install now
Step 19 When you get to Upgrade or Custom click custom
Step 20 Install to the Partition you created in Step 14a MAKE SURE IT IS NOT THE 20 GB PARTITION!!!!!!
Step 21 After it is done, it will restart
Step 22 In the menu you get use the arrow keys to navigate, select Windows 7 then press Enter
Step 23 (SKIPPING THE INSTALL PROCESS) in your new Windows 7 you should be about to use mouse pad (NO USB MOUSE)
Step 24 Go to the partition you created in Step 5
    Step 25 Run DriverPack
You will now have a functioning Windows 7!!!
Just to let you know this may not work for you. It will work until you get to Step 22, then the windows 7 animation might freeze and never boot. This is an issue with GPT. I had to covert from GPT to MBR usually considered downgrading. If you need to do this it is a little complicated of a process and you will have to do it via either a linux installed on your driver or a linux live image. I will not tell you how to do this, you have to research on your own. I would recommend either a Fedora or Ubuntu live image. Search up online and try to find how to do this. This was the hardest part for me as for there is not much info for downgrading from GPT to MBR. I can't remember all of what I did to downgrade it so GL and I hope you can solve it.
