My Acer Aspire 8930 turns on,but screen is black? I can see screen when using a flashlight.

Hi all. Hoping someone has a solution for my issue.

I have an Acer Aspire 8930. Just today, when i powered it up, it starts but the screen stays black?

I have received alot of info from other boards on this.BTW, if you hold a torch (flashlight!) to the screen, you can see the image.Im typing this right now under these conditions.

I have tried the "drain static" by holdong start button for 30Seconds.

I have even tried the FN+F6 buttons as some have done,although it seems to be temporary.

I have not opened the back to check RAM sticks, because there is a seal on it and if broken i VOID the warrenty on the motherboard i replaced last year.

Please, someone must have some ideals?

if Fn+F6 is just remporary and external screen works (i suggest you to try to connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV, just to check if it's working), probably is a problem with monitor backlight or inverter.

 

the only way to fix it, is replacing the part.
