AHCI on Acer Es1-111-C0A7 (About SSD)

Good day guys!

Thank you for your time reading this post.

So I've got a Sandisk SSD & today I have a simple disk compatibility question to ask.

Here's what it looks like in the pitcture:

[edited for privacy-removed image which displayed full serial numbers]

Now because I ran a test with AS SSD to see the scores but...

it came out a bit tragic like this....

This SSD disk is quite new bought just a few months ago.

I haven't been using any heavy R/W softwares from day 1.

According to the offical data & some test posts online of this SSD,

Seq reading should be at around 500MB/s & the rest should be higher.

So there you have it I found my SSD is actually running on 3Gb/s port.

Yah the system is running pretty fine nothing really need to complain about though but,

if possible I want to know that:

1. Does this model support 6Gb/s disk port?

2. If yes, how do I activate it? (I can't find anything about AHCI in BIOS)

By the way big thanks to Acer they fixed the touch pad problem of this model recently which was a big disturbing issue! (For those who don't know how, go download "Acer Care Center" and go for system update then download the touchpad patch.)

Thanks again guys!

Have a good Christmas holiday!

your model has only 3Gb/s port, so it's working at full speed.

Ahh thanks a lot mate I wasn't able to find the right keyword before your answer.

Did some research after that hope someday Acer could give a Sata3 BIOS update.

With that this model would be perfect ~~

    Thanks again!

I doubt that a BIOS will unlock SATA speed, i think it's more an hardware limit.
