Liquid Zest Plus for car navigation?

I consider the liquid zest plus as replace for my Galaxy note 2. The review of notebookcheck is not negative about the GPS results of this inexpensive mid-range Zest Plus dual sim smartphone.

Are there readers who use the Zest Plus for (offline) navigation in the car (Europe) with Acer Nav, TomTom Go, Sygic, Here we Go,  or online app (Waze f.i.)?

Is configuring adoptable storage possible with the Zest Plus?

Acer support Benelux confirmed last week that adoptable storage is not limited in all Marshmallow (Android 6) Acer devices.

(Nobody navigation experience with Zest Plus in the car?)

Adoptable storage is  is possible on the zest plus.  I have a installed a 32GB Samsung EVO+ on my Zest plus, and confiigured is as internal storage (not portable).   Now when I go to "Storage and USB" I see a total of 4.85GB Total used of 40.32GB which is about right (10.99 GB normally total on internal, and 29.33GB on SD card).

I use "Here WeGo" "free app" which is an evolution of the original Here now from nokia as my navigation app.  I use it in North America and I have downloaded the Canada maps onto my phone.  The app shows default download location as internal, but it sees the internal as the size of the external SD card since that is where Android as decided app data will go when you have adoptable storage.   And I can manually switch the app to offline use, so I am sure I don't use data, and it works like a charm so far.

Also, "most" apps I install seem to go directly to the storage on the SD card.  However some apps insist on occupying the main internal storage.  Adoptable storage is not perfect, but that is not an acer issue.  They have not crippled it in any way on the zest plus.

I have a cheap windshield mount for my phone, which is pretty handy for hands free operations and navigation.

    Hope this helps.

An interesting contribution. So far, 2 users confirm that car navigation (off- and online) with the Zest Plus works fine. It is not required to replace my premium Samsung (excellent navigation) for an another high end (Galaxy S7 f.i.) for navigating. The most budget smartphones however aren't suitable (too imprecise) for navigating with the car.
