Restoring an Aspire S3-391

So I have an Acer S3-391 that I am trying to set up for my mother.   When I originally got the machine I successfully created restore media onto a USB stick and installed Linux onto the machine.   However I can't seem to restore Windows 8.1 onto it.

 

The stick boots and allows you to pick reset your pc and repatriation drives.   It gets 74 percent through the recovery at which point it reboots without completing the install.

 

Any suggestions?

You will likely have to remove Grub and use Windows Bootloader. This is outside Acer's scope of support but the link below tells you how to remove Grub so you can reinstall Windows. Hope this is helpful.
