I am having trouble with the speed on my machine because of virus downloads. My CPU runs at 100% nearly all the time. I use the computer mainly for playing games. The company who checks my computer says it is becaue my internal security is out of date and not working. Does anyone have any idea how to renew the internal security coverage? Or would I be better off buying a new machine? Thank you

    danniejpag,

My advice is to buy a new computer.  Since you have an old computer with a legacy BIOS, it's very difficult to keep root kits from infecting your computer.  And a real pain to try to remove them.  New computers with Windows 10 are much more secure.  And they come with free Microsoft Windows Defender already installed.

    I'm not an Acer employee.
