NP.DCK11.01C dock for Switch Alpha 12 not able to activate hdmi or dp monitor

 I purchased the NP.DCK11.01C dock and I cannot get the switch alpha 12 (i5, 8gb, 256gb ssd) to enable the monitor.  It see's the monitor but cannot enable it.  Tried the intel graphics options as well as the windows display options.  I have tried 2 different monitors and have tried it using display port and hdmi.  I have tried different and known working cables as well.  I think there is a driver issue but there are no updates available.  I tried downloading the latest drivers for the graphics card from intel but they won't install.  They give an error saying they weren't tested for the device and I should contact the manufacturer for updates.

 

Acer a little help please.

 

P.S. I called technical support and the person I talked to was not at all helpful and had no clue how to troubleshoot in general.

btw I am running the latest version of Windows 10 with the latest updates.
