hello

i bought an acer xf270hu and i am quite happy with it, almost no backlightbleed, nice image and color, etc

however, freesync does not work for at least overwatch and doom

i have a amd r9 390

play full screen

wired with DP

amd catalyst freesync ON

latest amd drivers installed

vsync turned off

I tried the freesync windmill demo, no issue, it works. refresh rate varies according to fps

but on games the tearing is unbearable, in overwatch my fps are around 70 and refresh rate is 60 + extremely bad tearing

on doom, refresh rate jumps between 40 and 60 ... the pain of my existance !

please tell me what can i do

thank you

I fixed it for both games

    1-DOOM

in steam, doom properties, launch option, add the following sentence :

    +r_displayRefresh "144"

    Then

in settings video, put borderless and adjust your resolution to your screen resolution (1440) so that its like fullscreen

Job done, your Hz perfectly follows your FPS, zero tearing without vsync

    ----------------

    2-Overwatch

Noob here : i did't saw that in the resolution setting there was a number under brackets ... (60)

adjust it to 144 and put your FPS limit to 144

job done but still very slight tearing for me :/

    Hope this will help someone
