Dropped my laptop, it looks fine, but problem with wifi

So I dropped my laptop from the table, and the top was facing down. Nothing happened to the screen and everthing seems to be working fine. When I checked on the bottom right near corner, the top panel popped open (very small opening). I just pushed it down and it locked back in place. But, I have noticed that it takes way longer to search for a wifi connection.

When I tried to upload picture from my computer, it will not open the folder at all.

Does that sound like a serious problem?

Also just noticed it takes a long time to shut down...

HDD is the most vulnerable part when dropped, wifi should be fine. If you have any important data on the drive, you should copy it to another drive. If you hear any unfamiliar sounds from the drive, then drive is failing and you should get it fixed or replaced ASAP.

After that, you can run CHKDSK https://www.tekrevue.com/tip/fix-hard-drives-chkdsk-windows-10/ , or you can download Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows http://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?ID=940

The wifi was gone completely not long after I posted this. Took a while to get the part to fix, but thank goodness nothing major broke except the wifi adapter? Still not sure what the guy meant... he called it modem sometime and wifi adapter sometime. Either way the laptop is all back to normal again.

He actually did say that the amount of dust I collected on the fan was more serious than dropping the laptop Smiley LOL
