XG270HU dead pixel policy

So I contacted acer support about a dead pixel I recently discovered; (I've only had the monitor for 4 months) they offered to repair the screen if I sent it to them. But as I was researching, I found that the acceptable number of dead pixels in a 1440p monitor is 16, and I only have one. I guess what I'm wondering is if I will be sending it in just to get charged for the repairs? or to just get it sent back in the same condition?

    If you divide the screen into 9 squares, where on the screen is the dead pixel located?

    If the dead pixel was in the center square we would be able to fix it. If there is one dead pixel in the top right towards the corner, it wouldn't fall under the dead pixel policy for repair.
