Hi All,

Would anyone happen to know if the digitizer and LCD monitor are separate on this model? My screen will not display but the laptop works just fine on an external monitor so i'm confident i need to replace the screen. The laptop screen displays the image with horizontal and vertical lines. The digitizer is not cracked so i do a little research and discover that the lcd behind the digitizer is likely cracked and needs to be replaced. So i open up the case and it doesn't appear that there is any way of separating the screen from the digitizer but when i look online to find a replacement part i find that i can buy the components separately. Both screen and digitizer look to be encased on the inside part of the plastic housing that is the laptop lid. The company selling the screens have no idea and the laptop is no longer under warranty so i can't seem to get any answers from Acer either. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks very much

It's likely that they are not separate. Please note that Acer is unable to offer repair instructions for parts not considered user replaceable.  In checking the parts list for this model it shows the LCD as an assembly and the three part numbers and descriptions are:

    6M.MAPN7.005

LCD LED MODULE TOUCH 14.0' HD GLARE W/CCD GRAY

    6M.MAZN7.002

LCD LED TOUCH PANEL W/ BEZEL 14.0 (TPK 14" HD GLARE B140XTN02.4) GRAY

6M.MAZN7.003 LCD LED TOUCH PANEL W/ BEZEL 14.0 (TPK 14" HD GLARE N140BGE-EB3) GRAY

Any of these three parts should work. You can check with our Parts Partners for price and availability:
