Well i just noticed that my CPU is always staying clocked at 3.07-3.18 GHz. Shouldnt that only be clocked that high when under alot of pressure? The computer should down clock its self to 2.60 if not under stress. However, my just stays above 3.0 Ghz

Anyway i can fix this?

If you are noticing major drops in performance, or overheating, then you should definately try to fix it. In the task manager, do you see any background programs using alot of CPU?

Thanks for the responce, I was in task manager is when i notice the ghz staying between 3.07-3.18. I had everything closed out and most of the programs were shut off with no change in frequency. Im stumped..

There has to be something causing this. Ive always used a program that unpark and parks your cores. Nothing changed.

Try downloading the CPU driver from http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers.
