BSOD VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (nvlddmkm.sys)

Hey guys, i got a brand new, Acer Predator:

i7 6700HQ

GTX 970 6GB DDR5

16GB DDR4
128GB SSD

1000GB HDD

i got random BSOD with BSOD VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (nvlddmkm.sys)

all drivers are up to date.

 

did anoyne know how to fix it?

    You need to post the exact Predator model.

  • I had the G791 with 970M at first with exactely the same error.

     

    As a solution I have now the model with 980M and no error.

     

    I did tons of tests and spent hours of recherche. I was lucky so I could easily change by upgrading.

     

    They first tried to tell me, it's just an software error.

     

    To proove this I took an image of the 970M installation to the new model. It has run for more than 3 months without any error.

     

    So It's just my experience.... you must make your own descision.

     

    Errors with nvlddmkm.sys but not with Re: BSOD VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE are really very often software errors. Some months ago Nvidia released an driver which caused an equal bluescreen.
