Hello,

I've got a problem with my Aspire V3-372-54GK. This is a new notebook.

I've installed Windows 10 pro and I have some issues with the USB controller.

I've first tried to install the drivers I found on the resource DVD, and no one of them could make work (The system still couldn't recognize the USB controller) Then I tried to install the driver of the official site.

The system detected the USB controller and then writes that an unknown device.

The machine is tested for ACER service, and changed the WIFI unit.

This problem is not resolved. I have an annoying problem.

I've installed Windows 10 pro again and I followed the instructions of the service:

1. Install WIN10

2. Install I/O drivers

3. Chipset driver

4.Touchpad driver

5.After that, you can install the other driver

I removed and reinstalled WIN10, but it does not change anything.

I get a orange triangle, USB stops working and the speaker one beep and an error saying something like "Unknown USB device" This is repeated 2-3 times per second.

Thank you in advance for your help and sorry for my bad english.

Robert

If I understand your problem correctly, you need to fully remove the driver before attempting to install a new driver over it. right click on the unknown device in the device manager (windows15x15.png+X, device manager) and click uninstall. Then click delete driver, and click ok. then restart your computer, and install the driver from Acer. Hope this helps!

    Hi PMiner,

Thank you for your reply. I followed the steps, but unfortunately did not resolve the problem.

I re-checked Device Manager now. Here's the error message again:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

The SuperSpeed link to the USB device keeps going to an error state Compliance. If the device is removable, remove the device and then disable/enable from device manager to recover.

    Regards,

    Robert

The device may be faulty. Since the device is new, it is probably under warranty. I would contact Acer support to replace the device.
