Acer Iconia A3-A30 battery

Just purchased a reconditioned tablet (Acer Iconia A3-A30) from Argos. Battery was practically empty when it arrived. I used the charger provided and it said that it would take 3 days to charge it to 100%. So I used one of my spare charger and it took around 8hrs to charge overnight. This morning i started using the table for about 25mins, and the battery was down already to 79%. Could any user of the same table tell me if this what i should expect from the battery? Or have i bought a dummy one? Thanks

I purchased brand new A3-A30 8 months ago. The tablet is practically unusable because I need to charge it few times a day, battery life is just ridiculous!! Battery makes whole experience horrible on otherwise great tablet.

I don't play games, mostly read, surf, play youtube videos now and then, have 1-2 apps, even disabled most of build in apps, and I must say I'm really really disappointed and sick of 15% power saver mode. I use it in-house, but I'm not even sure how would it be possible to take it somewhere if I need to charge it all the time 4h charge for 2h use.

 

I previously had Iconia Tab A200 which was great tablet for its time and I didn't expect this from newer model. And the funny thing is, if I remember correctly, they marketing it as tablet for education for schools. Maybe if school is over in 2h.

 

I would really like to get some solution, os update, possibility to buy better battery or similar solution from Acer, because, once again, this is just ridiculous.

I have not found anything that could boost the battery life, thus I only use my tablet to watch tutorial videos at home or at work where i leave the tablet plugged in when possible. But yes very dissapointing about the battery life, shame because it is a good tablet overall.
