    sak03,

You forgot to list the exact model of your gtx750ti.  There's probably a hundred different gtx 750ti that are different sizes and have different power requirements.

Here's some general advice/criteria on whether a graphics card will work with your tc-705

    1. Will it fit?  It's not always easy trying to determine this.  Often times the marketing specs (dimensions) on sites like Amazon are inaccurate.  You have to look at the manufacturers website.

    2. Does your power supply have enough power?  If you purchase a gtx 750ti that requires a 6 pin power cable, then it won't work with your power supply.

    3. Is the card UEFI? (most 750ti are UEFI and so is your tc-705, so yes, it should be compatible)

    4. Do you have adequate cooling and ventilation?  I don't think you'll have any problem here since the gtx 750 ti is a maxwell card.

On my TC-605, which has the same Acer/Intel H81 mainboard as your tc-705, but probably a different case, I installed a graphics card with dimensions below and it fit, barely, with 2 or 3 millimeters to spare.

    dimens.PNG

Most GTX 750ti only require a 300 watt power supply and just draw power from the mainboard's PCIe x16 slot.  However, some GTX 750ti also require a 6 pin power cable.  Your Acer OEM power supply doesn't have a 6 pin power cable.

If you ever upgrade your power supply, it uses a standard non-modular ATX power supply.  Most semi-modular and modular power supplys won't fit in your case because they're slightly too big.

You can try searching this forum too.

If I were I going to buy a graphics card for your tc-705, I would buy the card (GTX950) in link below and it should fit...and it's $109 after rebate.  It should also work with your existing power supply.  The dimensions on amazon's site are inaccurate.

If for some reason I needed to upgrade power supply, I would purchase the ps in link below.  It's a very good power supply.

Important Note: ASUS has two gtx 950 minis.  One requires a 6 pin and one doesn't.  The card in link below does not require a 6 pin and therefore should work with your existing power supply.

o wait, now thinking about it, gtx 950 is way better than 750ti in performance reviews, but when i checked, it says that it requires a minimum of 350w PSU. do u think my current PSUof 300w will be able to handle it?

In theory, that gtx 950 that I linked should work fine with your existing 300W power supply.  I'm basing that on how much power your computer draws under full load....when I tested with killawatt.

    https://www.amazon.com/P3-P4400-Electricity-Usage-Monitor/dp/B00009MDBU

If for some crazy reason it doesn't just throw in a new power supply.

    https://www.amazon.com/Seasonic-80PLUS-ATX12V-Supply-SSR-360GP/dp/B008XEYT5M

And if for some reason the ASUS 950 mini is a little too long by an eyelash and touches the USB 3.0 cable, you can put a low profile USB 3.0 cable there that's not as stiff.....as a workaround.

The reason that I'm pretty confident it will fit is because I'm using the asus gtx 960 mini. Some specs say the GTX 950 mini is 6.7 " and some say 6.8 ".  I think it's 6.7 inches and you won't have any problem.

Pretty much anything I wrote in either of these posts isn't guaranteed on my part.

Just make sure if you buy something, you buy it from a place that you can easily return it.

Edit: Even if the asus gtx 950 mini is 6.8", I still think it will fit because I have 3 mm to spare.

Here's the ASUS page for the GTX 950 that I linked to in my earlier posts.  It only draws power from the PCIe x16 slot and a max power draw of 75 watts.  Your 300W power supply should be able to handle that.......as your computer will probably never even peak over 160W whilst gaming or benchmarking.  More than likely it's going to sit about 135W while you're doing heavy gaming.....with occasional, brief 160W peaks.....based on my testing with killawatt.  We have basically the same computer.

    https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards/MINI-GTX950-2G/specifications/

But again, there's two ASUS GTX 950 minis.  One requires a 6 pin and a minimum 350W power supply.  But I never linked that one.  The one that I recommended was the one that only draws power from the PCIe x16 slot and will only pull a max of 75 watts.

wow thanks a lot man! ill probably follow your advice and go for a higher GPU than the 750ti. and probably change the power supply also. my only prob now would only be the size of the PSU since this case that i have is pretty small. Lol!

Ok, but I didn't recommend that you go for a higher GPU than the 750ti. I recommended a very specific graphics card which happens to be the ASUS GTX 950 mini and happens to be a litle more powerful than the 750ti..... that can be found in the Amazon link below.  If you don't buy it, then I think a GTX 750 ti would be an excellent choice.  I based my recommendation on the 4 criteria in my original post.  Many graphics cards that are more powerful than the GTX 750 ti will run too hot in your case.  You'll have to do some research.

    https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-GeForce-Mini-Graphic-MINI-GTX950-2G/dp/B01FL6SYZU

You need a standard ATX power supply.  Read the dimensions on the power supplies.  If it's not standard ATX, then there's a pretty good chance it won't fit.  There's a metal lip inside my TC-605 case that will prevent anything bigger than standard ATX dimensions.  See my previous post.  I assume your TC-705 case has the same lip.

I would recommend either of the power supplies in links below.  If you're not on a budget, get the 360 Seasonic.  If you're on a budget get the EVGA 500.  My recomendations are based on actual research and my knowledge of your specific computer.

If you deviate from my recommendations, then you'll have to do your own research.

And yes, I'm fully aware that the Seasonic is 360W and the EVGA is 500W. Smiley Wink

"The biggest issue the company face is in educating the target audience. Almost everyone I speak with is certain that they need a 750W or 850W power supply, even when their system is probably demanding closer to 200 watts to 250 watts under load. I can only surmise that a large portion of the audience would balk at the ‘360W’ rating, and ignore this supply completely."

The card and power supply that I'm using are in links below.

If I had it to do over again, I would have bought ASUS GTX 950 mini and Seasonic 360W.  But I got both of them on sales that I couldn't pass up.

    Good luck.
