Acer 4736Z InsydeH20 BIOS Recovery

didotbdidotb Posts: 1Member

So my Acer laptop was reformatted and I had to re install all the drivers. I found out my speaker was not working and searched it in google, I found out I needed to update my BIOS (stock bios ver. 1.03) and so I downloaded the ver 2.06, installed FreeDOS to my flash drive, booted from flash drive, and ran flash.bat. unfortunately there was an error on Memory 0xFFFFF100 and it decided to shut itself down. so I re started and to no avail.

For the last 8 days I've been searching and trying some options to re flash the old BIOS (ver. 1.03) using the BIOS recovery (the FN + ESC option) with a DVD-RW Drive (since I don't have a flash drive with 4GB or lower [yes it is needs FAT format to be read by the system]) unfortunately I see no activity on my DVD-RW drive (formatted as UDF 1.05). any help or suggestion? I really need it since I have a school work pending, to be released next week and I don't have any other laptop to read the hard drive.

Sorry for my bad english BTW, if it has any.
