Windows 10 Anniversary Update stops USB properly working on Aspire R14 laptop.

I use blood glucose meters connected to the USB port to upload daily blood sugar readings. All was working fine until I updated Windows 10 to the Anniversary Update. Now it's stopped working. I cannot see my meters on the laptop.

The chipset drivers which Acer has available for download are over 12 months old. Should I download and reinstall to delete the Windows ones?

Or is Acer fixing this problem and I should wait? I need to get this problem fixed so my health care professional can get my data.

Thanks.

Martin

I'd try uninstalling/deleting the current drivers, reboot, and see what it loads. If that does not work, try the Acer drivers. I am running some Windows 7 drivers with Win 10 Anniversary. Whatever works.
