Hi

Everyone,

 

 

Need help with my desktop,

everytime i power my pc as usual it will window xp logo with running bar than it goes blank afterwhich

an error message appears "an invalid parameter was passed to a service or function"

before windows xp logo appears.

 

i was thinking if this continues i wanted to re-install windows xp by booting up using xp cd but unable to boot up by cd

although my cd is running.

 

 

pls tell me what can i do to solved this

Make sure you change the boot order in your BIOS, so it tries to boot from the CD, and not the hard disk drive. To do this, power off your system. When you power it on, press the Del key as soon as you see the Acer logo appear. It should be as soon as you turn it on. Go to the Boot menu, then change the boot device section to list the CD/DVD rom first. Save and Exit the changes, and it should boot from the XP disk. If it does not, you may try ordering recovery media at our Acer Store.
