Weird blue picture on startup

This might be difficult to explain, but I'm going to try my best to do so. As soon as I turn on my acer laptop, what appeared on my screen was a light blue picture with white static like streaks or lines across the picture. Also, in the background it looked like there were three or four(can't remember exactly how many) sad/smiling text emoji faces.

 

After that, the laptop just booted up normally and it seems to be working so far. But after googling about the sad face blue screen issue, I take that it's probably not good. Not sure why it happened though, anyone have an idea on what this was? I'm running an Acer Aspire ES1-512-C1W0 with Windows 8.1 64 bit 4.00GB RAM.

Haven't heard of this issue but since it appears things are running smoothly at this point, you might run your virus scan to make sure you don't have any viruses or malware installed. Also back up your data just in case you may need to restore the system to factory configurations if it does happen again.
