Acer Aspire VN7-792G (V17 Nitro Black Edition) Heat issues.

Hello everyone , yesterday i've received my new laptop acer vn7-792g , it's all great , comfortable , everything seems fine except 2 things. Battery (any ideas if its possible to remove it , because immo i'll screw the battery if its IN the laptop permanently especially when im gaming) and the second problem is Heating (i dont really know if its a problem) so while im not playing anything these are my temperatures --> https://postimg.org/image/uwuxodqbr and while gaming this is what is happening --> https://postimg.org/image/d3xfgtipt/ (once measured about 85 C GPU!!) Is that normal?? Please any helpful ideas..

Hi,

It's perfectly normal. It's a notebook with small heatsink and not a PC with a huge fan and heatsink. The temperatures are normal, and it can go even higher which can cause your CPU and GPU to throttle.

In case of the 792G since it is a 17 inch one, you probably will not have problems with throttling because it can have bigger airflow than a smaller 15 inch one.

And regarding the battery. Is not removable, or you can remove it just if you take apart the notebook. But generaly is not a removable battery.

Thanks a lot for your answer. I dont worry anymore. In that case i suggest everyone buy this laptop the price for this spec is briliant , it has nice red colour light on keyboard (pretty useful for gaming whole night Smiley Very Happy ) , perfect touchpad sense and buttons and comfortable keyboard , usually i cannot type on any laptop keyboard because im not used to it , but this one was like my main.

Anyway do you know any software (e.g Notebook fan control , Speedfan or etc) which can control my fan speed / gpu / cpu temps and keep it that way as it is now so it can prevent getting overheating in future?

Hi,

I don't know what to say. There is a software called coolbost from acer, but I have a 591G and it's not working on it, even if acer advertises that all V nitro series have coolbost support. You can try to see if you are more lucky.

Yes ,i use this CoolBoost from Acer Quick Access but i dont rly think it is useful and helps , i also have DustDefender which is not working either , it says "This feature is disabled if the system load is heavy" and i dont know how to make it working.. and for the cfg , thanks a lot Smiley Happy

I have the similar issue so that I did not want to open a new title. I have the same laptop with the i5 6300 hq version the rest is the same with this laptop even the motherboard ant etc. , but the case is even worse than this. It is not bad at all when I'm not playing game it is about 40-45 celsius degree. When I start playing games it suddenly goes 80-90 celsius degrees. This happens on motherboard and the cpu. I got about 85 degrees on cpu, but on motherboard it goes even higher. Is that normal? Should I keep playing or Do I need to send it to the Warranty service as soon as possible?
