Hi, I've just got the a3-30, as the tablet is for media consumption (primarily music) my first purchase was an SD card. I've gone for 32gb to play it safe, this shows up fine (although there doesn't seem to be a way to format it) However  Play Music won't let me set the SD card as the storage option. I've even formatting the card outside the tablet to ensure the card arrived with the correct formatting! Any help appreciated.

Check if under settings/storage, you can set the SD card as default storage, then try again with Play music.

by the way, you can download many free music players from Google Play, that will read the SD content without issue.

    one example:

    I'm not an Acer employee.

Thanks @ironfly unfortunately there is no options in the setting, in storage all you can do is see the SD card and its size.  Whilst I know there are other appsI, I subscribe to Play so I would like to use it. I think this might be linked to the version of android the tablet is running, which despite still be for sale doesn't look like it will be updated.

Thankfully this was a cheap tablet for a holiday, I'll try and contact Acer, and if they can help I'll post here so anyone else can benefit. If not, it will be the last cash Acer get off me!
