Liquid Zest 4G (T07) Wifi problem after latest update

I've received an update recently over the air.

When I want to connect to certain networks, it doesn't work anymore.

It worked until the update and other devices can succesfully connect to this networks.

Private networks seems to be allright, mostly public networks are the problem.

The smartphone doesn't receive an IP address.

I've tried everything:

- forget network and re-add it

- Toggle wifi

- reboot

- wipe cache partition

- wifi fixer --> seems stuck at receiving IP address.

Anybody else have the same problems?

    Hi IronFly,

    Yes, that's what I mean.

And it was strange, because the day before the update, everything works (we have a public wifi at work).

The day after, after the update, it doesn't work anymore.

I feel like it has to do something with DHCP, but I cannot find it, nor prove it.

    Tnx for testing!

Ok, even if i wasn't able to replicate your issue, i noticed that it take a while (30 seconds) to swtich from no internet connection to connected.

    one thing you can try:

    settings/about phone

    scroll down to Build number

tap it until developer mode it will be enabled (it will not void your warranty)

once done, tap the back button and scroll down to developer options

    scroll down until

Use legacy DHCP client, enabled it

    reboot

    let me know

Hello, thank you for the proposed solution. Indeed, it works for my phone. However, I wonder if using DHCP legacy will not create other issues in the long term. Do you have any other suggestion?

    Thanks

No issues at all using the legacy DHCP protocol.
At the moment i don't have other suggestions.
