acer predator g3620 bios update fail

Hi there,

after bios update using Win10-64bit and AFUWIN to P11.B1 I only receive 4 (short) beeps while starting PC.

Right after update I could go to BIOS, saw version P11.B1, and load default settings and check for modifications.

After saving BIOS settings I only get black screen and 4 beeps.

I removed all periphery - no change.

I cleared CMOS - no change.

Anny suggestions?

Andre

What operating system came pre-installed on your computer?

What operating system are you using now?

It came with Win8 64bit, but then did upgrade to Win10 Pro 64bit.
Now I can use nothing since the BIOS does not function.

    Best,

Ok.  I'm going to send you a private message which may or may not help you.

But in the future, the README file is extremely important to read and carefully follow (hindsight).  Smiley Happy

    Dear Jordan,
thanks for your suggestions. Since right now I have only 4 beeps after start, black screen, no keyboard reaction etc.  I have no chance to reach the BIOS interface.

Are there other ways to reprogram the EPROM?

    Andre,

I'm not aware of any way to reprogram the EEPROM.  But if I were in your shoes, I would probably check those BIOS mod forums for advice.

Also, it may be a long shot, but you can try disconnecting your HDDs (unplug sata power)  to see if you can then gain access to UEFI upon restart.  I doubt if it will help, but a simple thing to try.

You can also try to remove one ram stick and disconnect the graphics card.  These are long shots but I would probably still try it.

Did all this unplugging, did boot without graphics, RAM, HDDs etc.

did plug monitor to on-board graphics adapter.

receive only the 4 beeps (which I did not find in documentation)

    Check your private messages.

You BIOS is AMI.  I guess you could google search for "AMI 4 beeps".
