hello all, i bought 2 acer one 10 s1002 tablets, and one has a issue with the network adapter i believe. one of tablets loses connection if im more than 20 feet away from the router. when im close to the router everything works as it should, but once im past the bathroom and into the kitchen, the tablet has one bar, and only pulls like 14.5 mbps. sometimes that dips to where itll lose connection. i updated drivers, did windows update, diagnosed the network adapter, disabled the wifi adapter. did everything i could possibly think of. and i have years of experience when it comes to this kind of stuff.. is my network adapter hardware messed up, or is there something im not seeing? also, this happened when i was on vacation. the gf tablet worked like a charm, while mine was trying to connect. help me out guys. thanks!

Sure sounds like hardware. I'm guessing one of the antenna cables is loose. Not both of them, if both we off you'd likely have to set the tablet on the router to get a signal. Smiley Happy

So you think i can take the tablet apart and possibly fix it?

You very likely could, but since you are still in warranty it's better to let them fix it for you. It not only means there is less chance that any future issue would or could be blamed on you, it also gives them better metrics on what is showing up in the field that they can then take back to the manufacturing team.
