How do I upgrade my acer aspire 5738 running Windows Vista HP to Windows 7?

I am running a windows vista HP aspire 5738 that i bought a few years back. Now I want to upgrade to windows 7 or 10. However when I ran the windows upgrade tool, it suggested me to install windows 7. and when i click on the link, it takes me to download windows 10.

What are my options here? The machiine acts really slow and i wouild like to move to windows 7.

So, have you tried to download Win10 as suggested by the link that you clicked on?
