My Acer A-500 tablet will not boot up.. Help!!!!!!

Last night my tablet was working fine. I placed it in the Acer mounting/charging station, the tablet was charging and I hit the power switch to sleep the tablet. This morning the tablet was off. I have 1. pressed the power button on and off several times. 2. I have tried the "reset" button several times.

 

Both steps have the same resultes, A the "Acer" slash screen comes on and stays on. Android does not load up.

 

3. I have hit the power button and volume up at the same time several times.

 

A droid comes on, then falls down with a red triangle with an black astric. Then the tablet turns off.

 

I'm at a loss here, aside from a sledge hammer, how can I fix this tablet?

Sounds like the OS load has been corupted. You can sometimes recover by reinstalling the same OS, IIRC it's 4.0.3 on the A500. Make sure you download the correct version for your locale and have a SD card eady to hold it.
