Can I play my N64 console using my V193 monitor, as I have no TV available

Hi there.

I would like to play my Nintendo 64 console using my Acer V193 monitor instead of a TV (I have no TV!).

The output cable from the N64 console has 3 RCA jacks as well as a converter to change the RCA's to a scart socket.

On the internet it is easy to find a cable that converts either RCA's to a VGA plug, or scart to VGA....BUT I have been told that I need a conversion box (much more expensive than a simple cable) to convert the output signal of a N64 to an input signal that the V193 monitor will be able to use.

Can anybody tell me, definatively what I need to hook the N64 to my monitor, and have it work?

Many thanks in advance.
