Aspire E1-571 won't start

When I press the power button the button's blue led comes on for the duration of pressing it but nothing actually happens with the laptop itself, not even a whisper of activity. If I leave it alone for a few minutes it'll randomly start to boot up but turn itself off nearly immediately as soon as it reaches the Acer screen.

This happened straight after I rebooted my computer because of a mouse issue, the mouse could still move around the screen but it wouldn't interact with anything. Also, the laptop has had a very occasional intermittent fault over the last few months where it instantly cuts out but has always been fine after turning it back on. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you still in Warranty? Because if so, please contact Acer/Company you ordered from, and tell them your computer has either motherboard/power issues. This situation seems NOT to be your fault and conflict the Acer warranty you should have, however, this does differ if not in the USA.

If you ARE NOT in warranty, then your best option is buy a new one. You may take it to someone to repair, and see your options on how much it will cost to repair. You could do it yourself, but you should be reasonably good at it if dare attempt.

It may be a power/battery issue, since a problem message does not display, and since it is quite random. However, did you check to see if the unit was overheating or not? (you can tell if the laptop makes loud noises while running. if so, please elevate your unit and try again.)

I was reading for solutions to the cutting out problem the day before it gave out and they suggested it may be overheating. The laptop never felt particularly hot (my previous Asus ran much hotter) but the fans were generally spinning quite loudly when the cutouts happened. I was going to install a program to monitor the temperature but it broke before I could. Unfortunately it's unresponsive now so I don't really know what to do.

Unfortunately I'm out of warranty so I'll take it to my local repair shop and see what they make of it. If I knew exactly what was wrong I might have a go at replacing it but without a firm diagnosis I wouldn't know where to begin. Thanks for the help.
