I have an Acer Aspire 7739Z laptop with several USB ports which have never worked.  I sent the computer in a few weeks ago for a different warranty problem.  I told them at that time that the USB ports did not work.  Now I'm out of warranty and the USB ports still do not work.  How do I get them "hooked up"?

Also the problem I sent the computer back because of included a "crash" of the system but also included a problem with the equipment going berserk - mouse moving all over the board, bells dinging, when the mouse goes berserk and the cursor jumping all over the screen while I'm inputting data.    It's still doing all that too.  They "fixed" the crash so that at least the computer functions but still not properly and not fully.  I've never had this kind of activity on a laptop or any other computer and I don't know what it is or where to begin.

The unit should have a 90 days repair warranty if you are still having problems and it needs service again. One of the things that fixes the mouse cursor jumping all over the place while typing is to adjust the sensitivity settings of the touchpad itself. Usually, it's caused because the part of the palm near the thumb/wrist area bump the touchpad, counting as a tap, and that moves the cursor. If the USB ports are still not working, what type of devices have you plugged in to try out. When you contact Acer, make sure you let them know the devices you used to test so they can add that to their notes for the technicians that will actually work on it.
