G9_592_786M SSD UPGRADE

I already done my ram upgrade using corsair valueselect rams which worked flawlessly

now i want to upgrade my additional SSD slot, but which model should i go for?

there are two models that i found in market

M.2 850 EVO ( SAMSUNG ) 80

M.2 950 PRO NVM ( SAMSUNG ) 110

if anyone have tried the any of the ssd's mentioned above let me know

EDIT: i did some research on this forum ( old posts )

seems like i am going to get the 850 EVO M.2, the only issue is how i am gonna fit it since the secondary slot is 110 for the size? is there any adapter or bracket to make the 80 SSD fit? because i can't find any 110 SSD

The G9_592 uses M.2 2280 or 22mm x 80mm.

Check the specs on links below. Examples of M.2 2280 SSD (SATA3 interface) in links below.

Make sure you have the latest BIOS.

To check your current BIOS version:

1. Right click on Windows start button

2. Left click on Run

3. type msinfo32

4. click ok

Edit: Apparently, you may have two M.2 slots?? One of them apparently supports M.2 (PCIe and SATA gen 3x2 interface) and apparently the other M.2 supports SATA express. If in doubt, go with the M.2 SATA (like the ones in the links I gave you).

Edit2: Make sure you create a factory default USB recovery drive (USB recovery media) before adding SSD

but there is one issue, i went to the market today morning, then i found out that the SLOT1 SSD is the one that has one cut on the pins, so its either B or M model, the thing is, i tried 2 models in the market and both failed to fit!

The M.2 SSDs in links below are B+M. They will fit in either B or M.

The review below says your Samsung Pro 950 NVME only works on M. If it didn't fit, then you must have been trying to plug it in to a B.

Keep in mind is the SLOT1 that i want to upgrade has only " one cut on the pins ".

and the ones you linked me to " have dual cut on the pins ", are you sure its gonna work this way?

Yes, I'm sure.

The reason they have dual cut is to make them compatible with both B and M. That's why they are called B+M.

I made an assumption that the little extension bracket is already installed in your computer. The extension bracket is used on the second M.2 slot for 2280 SSD. There is no extension bracket needed for the first M.2 slot.

Hopefully my assumption was correct and you do have that little extension bracket for the second M.2 slot. I circled it in blue in the photo below.

If for some reason you don't have that little extension bracket, here is the part number. Call Acer and they will sell you one I'm sure.

regarding the ACER 33.Q04N5.001 M.2 SSD Bracket, I looked it up online and it is really expensive,

i need 2 of those for my predator 15 + predator 17, sadly the price is like over 80 euros without the shipping

other websites gave me over 100 euros, which is madly expensive, i might figure out a way to mount it without the

bracket, or make a custom 3D printed bracket, in my opinion i think acer should've included this bracket because its

important, i don't want to stick a foam card or put some kind of double face tape, it does not feel right to me, i travel with the laptop alot and i need the SSD to be secured inside the system, i don't really know what to do...

I know right!, saw it yesterday and wanted to post here but was busy!

and what makes my issue worse, is i emailed them again, and many times no response

they didn't provide tracking for my shipments, and nobody is answering the e-mail, because *zakov

asked to confirm model numbers before shipping, and i sent both of my laptop model numbers and from that

point, there was no response from them at all, i e-mailed like 4 times after that no response, tried to reach live chat and its offline most of the time, i will contact them and complain because the difference in price is huge and not acceptable for what i paid! and they changed the price only two days later after i placed my order... lol thats mean!

* ZAKOV : is the guy who is using the e-mail in that company.

39.99$, that website is driving me crazy, nobody answers my questions, can't track my order

no proper feedback, prices are not stable at all, and horrible customer support, i'll keep you updated..

UPDATE: i thought they were ignoring me, but they did reply to every e-mail i sent, but it went straight to junk folder for some reason, he said items got shipped and tracking will be provided when they reach USA, also he didn't have any idea about the price change, i told him price was 39$ went down to 19$ now back to 39$..
