Where did you see this?  I would like to know because I have a S232HL and have problems since I updated to win10.  It seems to be OK if I use the DVI port, but not HDMI @1920x1080

Windows 10 upgrade S232HL monitor incompatible WHY!!!

Hello All, I see you have an issue with monitor compatibility issue after upgrading to Windows 10. The monitors are S200HL and S232HL.  What kind of unit are you plugging the monitors into [desktop, notebook or custom built]?  What are the specs on your video card [NVIDIA, INTEL  or Radeon]?

I have an Acer S200HL Monitor connected to my Gateway GT5404 desktop. It originally was a Windows Vista OS, but the computer repair store where I bought it upgraded it to Windows 7 before I bought it.  I already had the Acer S200HL before I bought the tower. The monitor worked great with everything, UNTIL, I (foolishly) "upgraded" to Windows 10.  (Note here: I have waited too long to go back to Windows 7 so, do not go there - I wish I could!)  In any case, intermittently, when I start my computer or re-awaken it the display on the monitor is wider than the screen and is all stretched out horizontally. I found that if I right click my mouse a small window opens that offers me the option of "Display Settings."  When I left click on that option a larger window opens that offers me the "System Display" options and one is the view settings of "Landscape", "Portrait", "Landscape (flipped)" and "Portrait (flipped)". I select "Portrait" and "Apply" and the screen goes black. If I press enter, when the screen desktop returns I have the "System Display" options screen again. If I do not press enter, when the screen desktop returns the "System Display" window is turned 90 degrees to the left (Portrait) and I have to click on the X to close it and it returns to the "System Display" window in the horizontal position (Landscape). Either way, when I click on the X for the "System Display" window to close it, my desktop is in the normal, screen fitting, horizontal position and I can proceed to work. It will stay this way until I perform a restart or a re-awaken and then it may, or may not, be normal or "stretched."  I am unable to learn, so far, if there is any permanent solution for this annoyance beside purchasing a new Windows 10 compatible Monitor.  What say you?

What is your video card and what ports are you using on the computer and monitor?

The best I can tell you because I am not a tech person:  the display adapters are Intel (R) 82945G Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corp. - WDDM 1.0). I get the VGA logo when I start up and was told I had a VGA video card, but I cannot find more info unless you can tell me where to find it.
