Touchpad : location of touch .. can i "paint" put rubber chaulking to define Left and Right sides?

I've had my Acer tablet-laptop computer for 13 months.

Touch pad is just one continuous flat rectangle with no demarcation of Left and Right "clicking"

Many times my finger / thumb is near the mddle, and tablet interprets as a Right side clcik when i wanted Left (and thoughtt my finger was over far enough to be a Left click).

Rather annoying.  So, can i paint a line of some slightly raised surface  OR put some rubber chaulking OR is there a better material or solution that will not mess up the gorilla-glass display ??

Previous laptop had a touch pad + actual push-down click bottons below the touch pad, so i knew exactly where to push to get the click i wanted.

Many thanks for suggestions / solutions
