R7-571 W10 deleted the Bluetooth app and computer will not shutdown.

Upon installing Win10 it disabled the Bluetooth Driver (Broadcom) and the Dolby program. Doing a REPAIR on the Dolby program may have worked (no notifications since - but that was only a couple hours ago and not restarted since) Which available drivers should I install to support W10? Key queston is about the Atheros LAN driver update in 2015? I did not update the Bios before installing W10, did not see a newer one than I think I already have installed since past upgrade to 8.1. I did (correction) DO have the reported failure to shutdown the first time I tried after updating to Win10. I powered it back up then told it to do a "restart". After it came back and asked me to log in, I just selected to power off. It shut down normally once but the problem is back..

Are you still having problems? Have you ran all of the updates to Windows 10 after your initial upgrade?

Yes, I have installed all the updates W10 has presented and I am still having the shutdown problem. Do not know on the Bluetooth. The only bluetooth I use is the Garmin Vivofit and it uses a USB plug-in ANTenna under its own s/w.

When just selecting to shutdown, it hangs with screen blacked out and keyboard lights on with two blue LEDs on the front about 50% of the time. I get around the shutdown problem by selecting to RESTART then when it asks for the re-login I just select to power down. It has not hung in this method.

Will you try the steps below and let me know if they help with your shutdown issue?

Press the Windows () key and the letter X on your keyboard at the same time.
Select Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu that appears.
Click Yes to allow the app to make changes to your PC.
Type powercfg/h off and press Enter.
Restart your computer.

It seemed to help for a short period of time, but it is still unreliable, 40% of the time it will shutdown. I have to "restart" then when the login screen comes up, I have to select power and "Shutdown". Even this only works 90% of the time!!!!!!!!!!!

The really disconcerting thing is that I leave it plugged in, and if it fails to shutdown, IT DRAINS THE BATTERY, EVEN WHEN IT IS PLUGGED IN. Acer and Microsoft NEED to get this figured out.

Other than trying to play with the power management settings, I don't really have any suggestions because I am unable to duplicate this behavior on my system here. I know it isn't what you want to hear, but you may try restoring the system and going through the upgrade procedure again, or possibly wait for the next round of Windows updates that may resolve your issue.

Audibly, it starts the shutdown process, the splash screen comes up, any apps that are still running and holding up shutdown are identified, waiting a little - they get finally close; the screen blanks (goes to black); and a fan, disk, or something rotating speeds up (it may stay sped up or may slow back down but keep running); the keyboard stays lit; and that is where it sets.

When it does shutdown the difference is, there is a relay click VERY shortly after the rotating device speeds up, a second latter, the device starts to spin down to off as the keyboard lights go out then the left-hand blue light on the front goes out - it is now shutdown.

No one ever answered if I needed to load any of the update apps for the Bluetooth.

You can try to download the Windows 10 bluetooth app from the Microsoft store to see if it helps. You may also try uninstalling any software related to the bluetooth device you are connecting to see if it helps. If it doesn't, my only real suggestion would be to try to restore the system and attempt the upgrade again. I tried to duplicate the issue, but couldn't. Possibly another user will have some suggestions they can provide or can confirm they are experiencing the same issue?
