It works fine i have it with i7 4790 i wonder why acer didnt answer. But sometimes i have black screen and i also try to reinstall drivers no change. I think its the bios that doesnt improve the new gpu, last bios is from 2014...

im thinking of upgrading from a GTX 760 to a GTX 1070 my specs, read the following

    I have a Predator G3-605

    Intel Core i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz

    12 GB ram

    Geforce GTX 760

    What could be a problem?

The only problem could be power. The original power supply is about 484w but it has the required cables to power your new card. If you buy a new power supply you may need an adapter cable to plug the new PSU to the MB

    I was able to install the GTX 1060 6GB on a G3-605 fine. I have a 500W power supply.
    - Be sure to update bios (there were 2 for me). Before I did this, I got a black screen when connecting to an HD TV as a monitor, and the new card did not work.

    - Also, combine the 6 & 2 pin power plugs to make one 8 pin plug, or you may get a screen error
