I have Aspire ATC-220-EB51. My problem is HDD (not an SSD) will run 100% with no reads no writes

Runs 100% as shown in Task Manager.  system event log contains numerous events with Event ID 129, which represent resets of the disk controller. This started happening a few weeks ago.
