S227 HK Blinking Power Light Blue / Orange

Hi,

 

I have just purchased a S227HK Monitor.  I have a problem straight away.....

 

When I plug my PC in (DVI) I restart and it shows the PSOT and then the windows 10 loading flag, all good until it tries to start the desktop, then I get a black screen and a flashing Blue / Orange power light.

 

If I unplug I can hear windows ding, dong, ding then plug into my old dell monitor I hear dong ding dong and the image comes straight on.  I have even tried dropping the resloution to 800x600 and the refresh to 60hz but still the acer will not show my desktop.

 

The existing DVI cable must be ok as it works fine on the dell monotors I have tried, hot plug it into the acer and it says no signal then black and the power light flashing blue / orange again.

 

Its driving me mad I want to try out this monotor and ensure I am keeping it, but currently its useless.

 

Any tips ASAP would be very much apreciated.

Just to add to my original post, I CAN start in safe mode with a resolution of about 1200x1000 (or lower) with no problems.
