Killer Network- g9 591

I download the installer from the acer support site for the LAN RIVET file for the Killer Network Application.

Everytime I install it, I restart it then boom! I get a BSOD and it says KERNEL FAILURE or ERROR. So I have to restore it to a factory point before and it works fine again. What do you think is the problem ?

Same problem as you (and same laptop).

I had to desactivate the Wireless controler in Control Panel / Device Manager for a while !

But it was due to windows 10.

After the big update of the beginning of april, the problem was fixed.

But I have now a new issue, I can not control anymore the lightning of the screen.

Key shortcut [Fn + Left / Right Arrows] don't work. And no other way to change it.

Have you got the same problem ?

No brother, sadly I have problems with my Dolby Audio as it turns off by itself sometimes when I open a game and the lags in game. Looks like im going to be buying an SSD to fix the gaming problem issue regarding freezing.

Yes i also have the Dolby Audio that turns off when lanching a game. That's not really a problem even if i have to set volume above 50 !

I don't think i've lags in game (i'm playing RTS, maybe it's less inconvenient than a FPS)

I am more embarrassed with the trouble of screen lightning Smiley Sad

i hope microsoft or acer will propose something to fix it

    Hi,

to  change the screen settings I use RED 4 from the makro keys. Does not work for you?

With the sound I have sometting similar when I start a Virtual Box vm it turns of as well.

It seems to happen, when changing from the Intel 530 to Nvidia or so.  I tried the Intel Audio Sound driver, but this does not really work. Only the left speakers are working as the have to be modified, to work correctly.

There are already some sentences to the BSODs with Killer Network drivers in the forum (I don't remember if it was only in the German Forum or here). Since I use the driver from the Killer website, I didn't have one.

    Hello beststevie

I don't see what RED 4 is. Anything else that [Fn + Arrow] ?

Ok for the audio part, you have exactly the same as us.

    OhH,

I'm wrong, sorry! That seems to be one difference to G9-791. You don't have theese keys.

To be honest with you they are problems. Playing a game that needs the best sound quality to hear extra details are quite important. Like CS: Global Offensive, when it lanuches the game, it turns off and when it launches the match it also turns off. Its a weird bug that only happens with this game for me.

The killer network. I really dont know what to do for that issue. I gave up hahaha

For killer networks, make sure you have the latest windows update. It has worked for me, with windows 10 and same computer as yours..

Yes maybe you're right for the problem of audio. When i launch StarCraft II, the dolby audio turns off. But i think i can go back to windows, switchs on, and keep going to play. Hope you can also force it when playin CS GO.
