To help you troubleshoot the issue of mouse and keyboard dead, first of all you need to shutdown the computer and then disconnect the mouse and keyboard wires that are connected to the computer. Now wait for 2 minutes and then re-connect the mouse and keyboard wire connections and restart the computer. Check if it works fine.

If issue persists, please try to change the keyboard and mouse with one of the working set from your friend and check if that works. If yes it works fine then, you need to replace your old keyboard and mouse and purchase new set from the computer shop.

    Hope this will help you.

    Jackboy1,

I have a TC-605 that came pre-installed with windows 8.1.  At some point about a year ago, there was Microsoft Windows update that caused that problem on my computer too.  I ended up just backing up my personal files and resetting the computer to factory default and starting over.  I never experienced that problem again even after performing all updates.
