How to let apps install in the external SD card and not in the primary storage in Acer Iconia One 8?

My primary storage space is slowly being filled with the apps installed. I already have set the default storage to external (in the setting) but when I check, almost every app is still in my primary storage.

Only a very few apps are written to allow installation on an SD card. Google really doesn't want to deal with what happens when you try to launch an app from a card that isn't there...

Actually I have NO issues saving my apps to my SDcard on my phone.....its my ACER Iconia 10 a3 a20 I can save to. I believe its ACER that does not want apps saved to an SDc. It even actually LETS YOU as the OP stated, set downloads to SDc, but it doesnt DL SSNYTHING. I can even find a way to move my pics there. Its like the SDc slot is just s wasted slot!!!! So I dont think thats a fair answer to OP or about app makers........

The problem is from Google, Acer is just giving you what Google provides. There are some phone manufacturers that circumvent it with their own customer software, but they can afford the additional development time needed since they build so many units.

I haven't had any issues with pictures, videos, music or ebooks on the SD card. What applications are you trying to use?
