Default browser for Acer Iconia tablets

The browser in my Acer Iconia A1 tablet disappeared via an Acer system update. I have Chrome, but the default browser (icon of blue earth) was great to save articles for offline reading, history, etc. Can someone please help me? I tried downloading other browsers from the Playstore but most of them come with annoying ads. My tablet is Android 4.2.2 if that helps. Thanks so much.

Google took it off for security reasons and to force users to Chrome.

you can try this "hack" to force Chrome to use offline pages:

I personally prefer Firefox, it has add-ons e.g. unlock - to block adverts, phony - to browse normal versions of website not versions for mobile phones, it can share bookmarks folder between PC, tablet, phone and it is not connected to Google like Chrome.

Sorry, i was unclear. As stated, I already have Chrome as one browser. There is another, second browser (icon of blue earth) that is some kind of IE browser that disappeared when I updated the Acer system. I was wondering if anyone knew of this default browser (besides Chrome). It wasn't any of the popular ones like Firefox, Mozilla, etc. Just a regular IE browser that is build into the ACER tablets. Thanks.
