V Nitro - Keyboard Backlight switch ON on Bootstart

Hi,

I have just bought a Acer Aspire V Nitro (VN7-792G-55U5), and have a question regarding the keyboard backlight.

I realized that the keyboard backlight automatically switchs ON when the computer boots, even if I disabbled it before.

I have searched on Acer :

AC adapter power - The keyboard backlight default is ON.
Battery power - The keyboard backlight default is OFF.

It is a bit confusing as on my laptop, even on Battery power, the backlight switchs ON during the start.

As the battery only lasts 4 - 5 hrs, I think that it could be better to have the control on the activation of the backlight.

Do you have the same issue?

Have you tried Fn +F9?

Yes I know how to desactivate it.

But when I reboot the laptop, the previous configuration is not saved and the keyboard backlight is ON again.

There doesn't seem to be a solution to this. There are a couple posts in the forum where people opened the laptop and disconnected the cable for the keyboard lights.

This may get fixed in upcoming driver or bios updates.
