Acer P1510 - Image only displaying for a few seconds.

Hi All,

Looking for some advice on troubleshooting an Acer P1510 Projector.

 

> The projector powers on (I can see the Acer logo and it scans for an active source).

> A source is found (in this case VGA).

> I can see my Windows desktop for upto 60 seconds.

> Then the projected image disappears.

 

I can see the projector is still on (blue power icon + fans are on).

However there is no light comming from the bulb and the remote control does not wake the projector.
I can power off the projector when using the remote.

 

When powered back on the same symptoms appear, Startup -> Display for a few seconds, then nothing.

 

Any ideas on what to do?

I have only had the projector for 3-4 months so I am not sure how to check the bulb is seated correcly.

I found the manual and checked how to replace the bulb - bulb is seated correctly and power connector is secure.
I also tried to remove the mains power and hold down the power button to clear the PSU of any charge.

 

Unfortunetly the issue still exsits.
