I am trying to update but after some time it shows fail.
firmware v 1.17 to improve touch pad
which windows OS version is installed?
aspire V 15 Nitro
vn7-572G-75N7 windows 10
have you read the readme?
have you choosed the correct folder?
x86 or x64?
What "readme"? Also, I don't understand the folder remark. For what it's worth, for me the Acer Care Center says "update firmware v1.17 to improve touchpad performance."
i wa referring to BIOS update.
your update is about touchpad improvements, so you just need to download it from Acer care center and run it.
I have the same issue about the 1.17 update failing to update through Care Center... have you solved it ? How?
Doing what IronFly suggests doesn't work for me.
Same problem here (model: v5-591g-7374);
Even tried manually DLing from Acer site, no luck tho. Says there is no firmware to update. Please help
same for me. It's the Acer Care center who tries to install the touchpad update.ASPIRE VN7-592G, V15 Nitro, WIN10 64bit
Don't worry trying to download the firmware, for some reason the device got turned off. press windows+x select device manager (M) and then enable the touchpad (see picture below)
Big red rectangle at bottom = device that needs to be enabled.
Small red square at top = button to enable (will be green before you fix it, when it is grey touchpad will work)
thanks for posting this. I've checked the device manager settings and unfortunately it looks like the same than yours. Means, the touchpad isn't turned off. Well, this was no surprise to me, as I knew my touchpad works fine.
