Predator X34 Gsync stopped working

I am pretty sure my x34 has stopped working with Gsync.

It is still currently working but about 2 weeks ago over the space of a few days the refresh rate number that is displayed in the top right, started working intermittently.

now it currenty just displays a grey transparent box.

also about the time this started i had my suspicions that gsync wasn't always working so i turned on the gsync indicator in the nvidia drivers. that would sometimes display the Gsync on label and sometimes not. but for the last week or so it never says Gsync on.

also i can see some screen tearing.

all this makes me think that Gsync is no longer working.

another thing is my fps can often go above 100fps but i can't remember if gsysnc allows that or not.

 

so before i RMA to Acer is there anythng i should be trying. I already have fairly new drivers cos i updated after i started having problems to see if it fixed it.

Basic troubleshoot:

try another cable

uninstall and do a clean nVidia drivers installation

 

if you still have this issue, give Acer support service a call.
