I have an Acer A210. For some reason the Wi-Fi button will not slide to the "on" position. Also, there is a strong signal from the modem, not more than 10 feet away, and it will not see the network. any suggestions?

try a factory reset, backup all your personal data first:

    settings/backup&reset - factory data reset

please report your build version / image number:

    settings/about tablet - scroll down

I gave the reboot a try. No luck. It will not see the network. It shows that it's trying to turn Wi-Fi on, but just sits there. I have have tryed it with multiple networks. Modem burned up in tablet?
