Boought a new laptop yesterday (Sydney - Australia), two issues so far:

1. Wireless connection on the laptop keep dropping out. Its not the wireless reception issue because I have a dell laptop and mobile devices, which has no issues. Laptop randomly shows no internet connection then I have to use troubleshoot problem options and it get fixed.

2. Unable register the device from the "Acer Portal". It shows registerting then shows message unable to register.

Was expecting a smooth setup for the brand new laptop.

Thanks

I had a similar problem with my 5G wifi dropping.  I switched the "channel bandwidth" on my Asus router from 80 Mhz to 40 Mhz.  That cleared up the 5G wifi drop problem.  I did not experience the drop on my 2.4 Ghz network.  Hopefully that helps.

    Hi din,

For unable to register Acer device, sorry for any inconvenience.

I suggest you can register your Acer device on Website. Please follow the steps below.

    1. Please sign in your Acer ID in Acer Website.
    2. Click [My Products] to check whether your Acer device is registered. If not, you can click [Register a product] at the left, then fill the registration information required and click [REGISTER A PRODUCT] at last.

    Hi din,

I'd just like to provide a couple of suggestions for your issues.

    1. Wireless - I understand that you have other products on your network, but I'd try the E15 on a separate network like a public network if possible to see if the dropping continues. If it doesn't, look at updating the firmware of your router, and then look at changing channels, frequency and a few other tweaks that can help limit issues. Here are some good places to start: http://www.werockyourweb.com/your-wireless-connection-dropping/

    2. Registration - A series of improvements were implemented last week and I suspect your issue will be resolved. If you could, please try again and if you continue have trouble, send me a screenshot via private message and I'll escalate the issue.

    Thanks,
    Cory
