A1-840 stock recovery image
Hi,
I accidentally flashed a new recovery system onto my A1-840 and now it doesn't boot into recovery anymore (yes, I know that was stupid), which means no factory reset or software updates are possible. Is there a place where I can get a clean recovery.img for my device?
Because looking into the software downloads on the Acer support page I only found the "recovery-from-boot.p"-file, which does not contain an image, if I understand correctly.
It'd be great if you could help! Thanks in advance

I acquired an image - sorry for taking so long, I just didn't check my mails on that account
Maybe you can make use of it, too - it worked for me.

i don't know if it contains an recovery.img file

Thanks for your answer, but this file only contains an "update.zip" file, which doesn't contain a recovery image file.

have you unzipped that update.zip file too?
by the way that's the only thing that Acer can "offer".

but how to recreate the original recovery partition without an image?
Edit: yes, I unzipped it and searched through it - and I couldn't find a recovery image.

the only way that Acer can help you is sending your device to service center.
if you don't want, maybe give a quick google and see if your can find something.

I already googled quite a bit - I don't find any images for the A1-840.
The only thing I found were those firmware files here http://forum.xda-developers.com/iconia-one-8/how-to/guide-root-acer-iconia-tab-8-a1-840fhd-t2933317, but they have the same structure as the ones from acer (update.zip).
I appreciate your help, but I don't think this cheap device is worth paying the service center.
