After upgrading to Windows10 no SD card is recognized anymore when inserted. Driver checks OK?

I upgraded to Windows 10 the other week at first the SD cards were readable, always asking if I wanted a special action to be applied. Then suddenly none of the cards are recognized in the built in slot.

However the same cards work fine in all other systems and also in an external SD card reader if plugged in to the USB.

Also if I right click and eject it says the card can be safely removed, howver windows says this on all empty slots.

Windows says the driver is the latest but... in the event log is the following message concerning this device.

Device USBSTOR\Disk&Ven_Generic-&Prod_SD/MMC&Rev_1.00\8&337fe49d&0&20060413092100000&2 could not be migrated.

How do I fix this problem on my Acer Aspire M3985

I suspect it has something to do with the Autoplay features, but I have both turned this on/off and also set to do nothing. Yet the card slot appears empty.
