your model has a 32GB eMMC (SSD) - 29.8GB will really usable

    windows will take around 10-15GB

9GB is for the recovery enviroment (you can probably delete only after creating a recovery media using Acer recovery program)

probably there are some temporary files that can be deleted:

    windows logo key
    type
    disk cleanup
    click on disk cleanup
click on Clean up system files
    let it scan
then tick the files you want to delete, it's safe to do it
at the end press ok and let it clean the HDD for you

Many Thanks but it does not improve matters.

Have cleaned everything and it said I could get rid of 9.45 MB

In Properties for C it says

    Currently installed programmes 1.19 GB

    Used 19.3 GB

    Free 0 bytes

    Capacity 19.3 GB

    19.3GB storage

    9.50GB recovery partition

    1.19GB installed programs

    8.6GB windows

    result = 0 free space

you already reached the storage limit of your SSD, to increase space, you need to erase the recovery partition but...you need to use Acer recovery software to create an USB recovery media and then use the option to delete that partition.

    or

buy a SD card to increase your storage.

    or

open you laptop and add a SATA connector for an additional HDD/SSD:

Thanks again for taking the trouble.

    I thought I had a 32 GB MMC drive?

All the stuff in all my folders adds up to 0.59781GB which is why I don't understand it saying it's full. I save vey liitle on this machine.

I have a recovery USB if I use that do you think it will fix it?

    Regards

yes, your netbook has a 32GB eMMC

your recovery USB will not solve your issue...at least if you create the recovery from your netbook, so you can try to delete the recovery partition (9GB) and then expand C: partition but you must be sure that your USB recovery is 1000% working (nope 1000% is not a typo Smiley Very Happy )

or buy a SD card to put on your SD card reader and use it to save your personal files (SDs are cheap today)

Will have a go with the recovery USB which I made when I got the machine - be a couple of days though.

I don't recall it giving me options at the time but that could just be memory loss - mine

I do have  an SD card but i don't think that will solve the space problem - there just in no room for updates etc.

Windows is able to use the SDcard to install updates too, if i remember correctly.

This sometimes this occurs because Windows update hasn't completed.

Force an update.  Reboot.  See if that fixes it.
